Our mission is to ensure patient safety while supporting timely access to global medical device technology. We strive to set the global standard in thorough, responsive, predictable conformity assessments, evaluations, and certification.

We have a major long-term investment plan to transform BSI Regulatory Services into an agile and resilient digital operation. However, our passion for patient safety and regulatory compliance remain our primary focus.

Improvements will be achieved by delivering new digital ways of working that build a platform for growth, make it more efficient to do business with you our clients and ensure our colleagues have the innovative tools they need to do their excellent work.

Digital pre-application. Going live to clients
The digital pre-application solution - the first capability for the digital transformation programme - was launched in early August 2021. The solution will provide all existing and new clients access to a digital pre-application portal where they will be able to complete the Customer information Form (CIF) application via an intuitive and guided workflow; the old CIF forms will be phased out from 3 August 2021, we will no longer accept new applications for new schemes outside of the portal.

Once completed, you can submit the CIF application, which will be routed to the BSI Commercial team to directly assess and liaise with you. Throughout the application process, you will be supported with self-service on the portal or via an assisted service to send a query to the support team.
